Speed Networking & new faces

It's pretty circus-y in here. As I look up there's balloons and streamers everywhere, tonnes of conversation, and across the hall there's the first round of speed networking. Think speed dating- only better. Three minutes rounds, you sit across from someone new and exchange business cards, information, etc. I wish I could leave my post here at the Business Help Centre long enough to participate - but there's an afternoon session too!

I've already had several chats with some great people, including Sonia from ISIS (Immigrant Settlement & Itegration Services) who was thrilled to know that the Chamber is going to be directing members to other members, like ISIS who can help them. I also had a long conversation with Colleen from the Business Development Bank of Canada - they're incredibly knowledgable about business and financing and all that useful stuff that small business owners should know about.

We're here all day at the World Trade Centre downtown- it's free to attend, and we're celebrating Small Business Week under the big top. Come and see us!
